How to Install and type or Use Malayalam Fonts on Photoshop
All Malayalam letters typing in Adobe Photoshop 8, CS2, CS3,CS4,CS5,CS6
Type Words in Malayalam Fonts on Photoshop with all letter correctly and perfect.
Photoshop loads all fonts available in your computer.
If there is no Malayalam fonts installed in your system, you cant type malayalam in Photoshop.

Font named Karthika is already available in your system, it is Malayalam font but does n't contain all letter (chill-aksharangal).

Malayalam Fonts names will be starting wit "ML-"

eg:  ML-Revathi , ML- Karthika

If it is already available in your system of Photoshop Software you can use it.
Else you have to install it.

Follow instruction to Install Font:

  • Copy the ML-Karthika_TTF file
  • Open Control Panel --> Go to Fonts
  • Paste the ML-Karthika_TTF there
  • Now open Photoshop , there you will find the font name, like
       ML-Revathi , ML- Karthika

Select this font and type the Malayalam words in Photoshop.


Additional Tip:

If you don't know the keys for certain characters you can use this trick to get:
  • Go to Run in Start menu  ( Win Key+R)
  • Type  charmap and run it
  • Select the Malayalam font ML-Revathi or ML- Karthika
  • You will see all letters , scroll down for seeing all malayalam letters
  • Double click on each letter , the its will we added to a space, after completing the word typing , copy it and paste in Photoshop.
